Hols

We are finally getting a little break - and I am SO ready!!!

We're heading off to the US to visit some friends, and do loads and loads of kids' stuff! I think we are going to have the most amazing time!

I absolutely love the cut and thrust of ministry - and the rhythm of routine - but once in a while, the opportunity to switch off responsibility and rest is just like a taste of Heaven!

I hope you guys get the chance to properly switch off at some point of the year too - and I pray that it refreshes you to the core!

Love,
K

I just found your blog spot. Just wanted to say that your music is inspirational and your annointing really shines through. I lead worship at my church in Oregon and it's a blessing to listen to your songs and be renewed and refreshed in God's presence. So...thank you!

Hello Kathryn,
This may be a bit of an unorthodox way to reach you, but I thought I'd give it a try. I am looking for permission to use some lyrics from your song Hungry (Falling on My Knees). I am contributing to a book by my dad, Dr. Thomas Wilkens, retired professor of theology. The book is a collection of homilies and essays about "a modern father and a postmodern daughter reflecting on their pilgrimages of life and faith".

Here is the excerpt that includes the lyrics, if permission is granted. It's about several worship services I experienced in Honduras.

I also found joy in the worship experiences. There was such an authentic hunger and desire for God and a willingness to let God shape their lives. In my journal, I wrote, I have seen the words to the song "Hungry" lived out in flesh and blood this week.

Hungry, I come to you for I know you satisfy.
I am empty, but I know your love does not run dry.
Broken, I run to you for your arms are open wide.
I am weary, but I know your touch restores my life.
So I wait for you, I wait for you.
I’m falling on my knees.
Offering all of me.
Jesus, you’re all this heart is living for.

Hi Kim,

I would be honored for you to use this. I can't see it being a problem with the publishers either. If you would like to check with them, you can do that through Vineyard Records UK (if you google them you should be able to find some contact details). But, for my part - I would love you to go ahead and use this.

God bless you!
Kathryn
